Tiny hairs cover our whole body, with each hair follicle having a pore on top of it. Inside the hair follicle is a gland where oil is produced, this rises and collects in the pore.
- Genetics
- Excessive amounts of Sebum causing oily skin
- Decreased elasticity in the skin
- Increased hair follicle volume
When oil mixes with dirt or makeup in the pore it can become blocked. This can stretch the pore making it look bigger.
